Foundation and Evolution
Founded in 2017 by Wayne Crosbie, The Crosbie Group initially specialized in refrigeration and air conditioning solutions. Starting with two channels for air conditioning work—securing our own project contracts and serving as subcontractors for major companies—we rapidly gained invaluable experience and industry presence. This period marked our evolution into a comprehensive service provider, expanding to include maintenance, design, installation, and ventilation. By 2018, we had established a trusted name, enabling us to transition from subcontracting to working directly with end-users. This shift facilitated significant growth, allowing us to hire and train more staff, including apprentices, in "The Crosbie Way." Our reputation attracted key clients such as Beaumont Hospital, Kirby Group, Winthrop, Amazon, Butlers Chocolate, and Iceland, solidifying our direct client relationships.
Growth, Expansion, and Leadership
The period from 2021 to 2023 saw remarkable growth, even amidst global challenges. By securing direct contracts with end-users in the supermarket and health sectors, we grew by 300% through Covid, maintaining our workforce and focusing on service and maintenance. A significant milestone was securing the Tesco maintenance contract, which further attracted prestigious clients like TIFCO Group, Screwfix, Amazon, Fidelity, and Starbucks. Our workforce expanded by an additional 50%, with a continued emphasis on training apprentices. Looking ahead to 2024-2025, we continue to lead in the refrigeration and HVAC industry, expanding our support network with subcontractors and planning to break into the UK and European markets. A testament to our commitment to excellence, apprentices who joined us in our early years are now fully qualified engineers, marking one of our proudest achievements and underscoring our leadership in the sector.
